Company Spotlight: Skyler Hiyler
From joining Little River Transportation straight out of high school to his new role as VP of Truckload Operations for LRT Group, Skyler Hilyer has grown right alongside the company.
Skyler started working with Devin in May 2022, drawn to his vision for LRT’s future. “I knew by talking to him that he wanted to grow LRT into something much bigger, and I believed he was the guy to be behind.”
Looking back, some of Skyler’s favorite memories come from those early days—just him, Devin, and Tasha in the office, working hard to make that vision happen. Today, he still enjoys the challenges each day brings.
“The chaos that every day brings is very rewarding,” he says. “You really feel like you earned that time to rest at the end of the day.”
What keeps him motivated? A big ambition for the road ahead: “We’re building the largest, most efficient trucking company in the world.” That belief in what the team can accomplish continues to push him to bring his best every day.
Outside of work, Skyler is a huge movie buff, watching multiple movies a week whenever he can. And if he’s picking the soundtrack for a long road trip? “Ventura Highway” by America is first on the playlist. 🎶
