Azamara has revealed a new 2028 World Cruise that promises one of the most extensive itineraries on the market.
The sailing takes place aboard Azamara Onward, lasting 175 nights and covering six continents. Guests will explore 40 countries and a total of 91 ports in a single, once-in-a-lifetime journey.
The voyage departs Miami on 5 January 2028 and finishes in Athens on 29 June 2028. The first weeks feature the southern Caribbean and South America, including Aruba and Colombia, before a transit through the Panama Canal. From there, the ship travels down the Pacific with calls in Ecuador and Peru. Guests will have the chance to visit far-flung destinations such as Easter Island and Pitcairn Island.
After crossing the Pacific Ocean, the itinerary highlights multiple overnight stays in South Pacific favorites, including Tahiti and Bora Bora. The cruise continues to New Zealand and Australia with planned stops in iconic ports such as Sydney, along with nature-rich coastal regions.
The journey then turns toward Asia with visits expected in Indonesia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore. Later stages include Sri Lanka before the ship heads to southern Africa with calls in Namibia and South Africa. The final portion includes Spain, Morocco, France, Italy, including Rome and Sicily, Croatia, the Greek Isles, and Turkey before concluding in Athens.
Azamara has divided the itinerary into 14 curated segments that can be booked as individual journeys or enjoyed as a full circumnavigation. The experience includes exclusive AzAmazing Evenings that highlight local traditions, dining and music. Dozens of late night departures and overnight stays allow more time to explore each destination beyond standard cruise visits.
