Florida Oceans Day was amazing!

A full day at the Capitol connecting with maritime leaders, innovators, and stewards, and some seriously impressive students from FAMU and NOAA’s Center for Coastal & Marine Ecosystem Program.

Huge thanks to Glenn Wiltshire (President, Florida Ocean Alliance) and Katie O’Fallon (Executive Director, Marine Research Hub) and all the marvelous maritime minds from Keys Marine Lab and the Florida Institute of Oceanography. So many enlightening conversations with all the exhibitors.... 🤯

We were proud sponsors and we show up because working waters matter. Simple as that. (Also, any excuse to talk boats, ports, and blue water policy). See y'all there next year and on the water all year!

As some of you know, Jo is currently conducting research for her PhD examining conflict dynamics and job-related dispute resolution practices within the private yachting industry.

If you work in South Florida’s private yachting sector (captain, crew, contractor, day worker, service provider, broker, etc.), she invites you to participate in this anonymous, voluntary study.

The goal is to better understand lived experiences in the industry and contribute to research-based insights that may inform future best practices and policy.
