Big glass, small margins.

Our team replaced a main deck side window on a Princess motor yacht under cover at Lauderdale Marine Center.

A panel this size calls for planning, not muscle. The old bond was cut out and the frame cleaned back and prepped. The hull and decks were fully protected before the lift. The new pane went up on the overhead crane, with our team guiding it into the aperture by hand and setting it in fresh marine adhesive.

Every lift is planned, every surface is protected, and the finish is checked before we sign it off.

Small boat. 🛥️ Big coordination. 🛠️

This Valhalla V33 came into our Lauderdale Marine Center facility for two things she had never had before: a bow thruster and an antifouling system.

Fitting a thruster from scratch means cutting into a finished hull, so the sequence matters. Our electrical team engineered the power supply and control routing. Our composites team cut, glassed and faired the new tunnel back to factory standard. Then our bottom painters took over with full hull prep, primer and her first ever antifouling system, coated right through the tunnel.

Three trades. One plan. One point of contact for the owner.

Princess Y72 | Hardtop refinish

Florida sun is hard on a hardtop. On this Y72 it had taken its toll: the paint was fading, breaking down, and starting to crack.

The owner asked us for two things. Repair the damage properly, and bring the roof back better than the day she left the factory.

We sealed the hardtop inside full containment, removed the electronics and went to work. Every crack was ground out, repaired and faired before a single coat of paint went on. Then came the primer, and finally a high-gloss metallic finish with a contrasting edge band.

Partway through, the owner had a thought. A finish like this needs looking after, and a gloss roof is no place for crew to be cleaning without proper footing. So we built a non-skid panel into the center, giving the crew a safe way to care for it for years to come.

With the electronics back in place, she went home looking sharper than new.

Some of the work we're proudest of is the work you'll never see.

Our carpentry and upholstery team are specialists in taking apart what was never designed to come apart. Bonded headliners, upholstered fiberglass liners, window mullions, helm equipment. On a modern yacht these are built in at the factory to stay put for life, so getting them out cleanly is often major surgery.

What sets this team apart is the time they take before any tool comes out. Every sole, surface, console and piece of joinery is wrapped, boxed and masked, and the rest of the vessel is protected like a newborn. No shortcuts, no rushing, and collateral damage kept to an absolute minimum.

When the protection comes off, the problem is gone and the boat goes back better than it came in.

Not every paint failure starts in the paint.

Failing clear coat and dull gloss are usually the coating itself reaching the end of its life. Stress cracking, corrosion lifting the film and old repairs telegraphing through point to something underneath.

That difference decides whether a yacht needs a localized repair, a clear coat restoration or a full respray. Get it wrong and fresh paint over an unresolved problem looks right for a while, then lets go.
You step back onto the dock, look along the topsides in the late afternoon light, and something isn’t quite right. The reflection isn’t as crisp. A fine crack has appeared at a window frame. An old repair is ghosting back through the paint.

Sometimes that’s just the coating wearing out. Sometimes it’s telling you something underneath needs attention. Knowing which one decides between a simple repair and a full respray.

We Were Called To Repair A Bathing Platform. This Was Something Else We Found.

When we inspect hydraulic systems, we don't just focus on the fault we've been called to repair.

We also look for early signs of issues that could lead to future problems.
In this case, the hydraulic power unit (HPU) was showing signs of surface corrosion.

It wasn't causing an immediate failure, but it was exactly the sort of issue that's easy to overlook until it becomes a much bigger problem – leading to unreliable operation, unexpected breakdowns and more expensive repairs over time.

The solution was straightforward.
A thorough clean, followed by the application of a corrosion inhibitor, helps protect exposed components and slow further deterioration.

Small observations today can prevent much bigger repairs tomorrow.

Your Bathing Platform Is Probably Warning You. Are You Listening?

A bathing platform is one of the hardest-working systems on board, yet it's often one of the most overlooked.
It carries tenders, launches water toys, supports guests, and operates in one of the harshest environments on the yacht.
