This is the time of year when a lot of owners and captains start noticing it.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀.

We’ve just removed the roof on this Princess to get access to what’s actually going on underneath.

From the outside, it looked like failing clear coat and surface cracking. But as is often the case, once you open it up, you start to see the full picture: cracking, delamination, and areas that need proper structural attention before anything goes back on.

This is where most projects either go right… or go wrong.
Because it’s not just about repainting.

It’s about opening it up properly, repairing the structure underneath, fairing and preparing it correctly, then finishing it so it lasts.

🌌 In a marina not so far away…
🍻 On the outer rim of Fort Lauderdale…

With a yacht sat high and dry in the yard: mid-refit, mid-chaos… and definitely not “a quick job.” 😅

Enter: a mixed crew of captains 🧢, engineers 🔧, and the Aquamare crew 🔵, drawn together.

In the background, an unusual band played on… 🎶👽
(no one knew where they came from… but no one questioned it either)

🍔 Lunch was called. Tools were downed. Stories were shared.

From “it’ll only take an hour” to “while you’re there…”, every tale sounded strangely familiar.
⚙️ Bolts debated. Panels judged.

And somewhere in the middle of it all… someone said:
“Let’s just get it done properly.”

Because no matter the boat, the job, or the galaxy…
this is where everyone ends up eventually.
