💜 Yesterday, a score of nonprofit CEOs, executive directors, board members, and leadership teams from across Broward County gathered at the Community Foundation of Broward to explore the trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping our sector’s future.
💜 Through "Florida Nonprofits by the Numbers," our Broward Center for Nonprofit Excellence shared new insights on the economic impact of Florida’s nonprofit community, emerging statewide trends, policy developments from the 2026 legislative session, and what these shifts mean for organizational strategy, governance, and sustainability.
💜 A special thank you to Leah Donelan McDermott of the Florida Nonprofit Alliance for sharing details about the launch of Florida’s statewide nonprofit salary survey, now open through July 14. Participants were encouraged to complete the survey and spread the word so we can build a strong dataset that will ultimately support the creation of the first-ever Broward County-specific nonprofit salary dashboard. Having local compensation data will be an important resource for organizations working to attract, retain, and support talented nonprofit professionals.
