[[710th INACTIVATION CEREMONY]]

EVERYONE (kids too!) is invited to the 710th Inactivation Ceremony this Thursday (Sept 25th). It will be at 2 pm which does cut it close for kids getting home from school! Will be done prior to 3pm, usually they run about 45 min long. But if you have to leave early, no problem!

It will be held at the field across the street from MCGRATH GYM!! Not the usual big field behind Division Headquarters!

There will be some seats under tents, only a few rows of those will be reserved. Also there are bleachers on either side of those tents if you would like a better view.

If there is bad weather they will just move the ceremony into McGrath Gym basketball courts.

Hope you can all make it to say good bye to the 710th!!

Spartan Support Soldier of the Week (June 15-21): SGT Figueroa! SGT Figueroa is a true leader who is loved and respected by both his soldiers and peers. He is an E5 who has worked in an E7 position as the Motor Sergeant for the Consolidated Maintenance Facility. SGT Figueroa can also operate any vehicle in the motor pool, this was the prime reason he was appointed the company Master Driver! SGT Figueroa is a great NCO that any leader would want in their formation leading troops!

Spartan Support Soldier of the Week (June 22-29): SFC Weddle! SFC Weddle is a remarkable soldier, person, and leader. He led the team who constructed the various structures and buildings for our own unit and for others to include: a protection wall in the transit tent for females, the walls for the Customs tent, the gate for the customs tent, and plenty more. SFC Weddle is a selfless leader who always puts the needs of soldiers before his own. Well-deserved!

In regards to the recent incident, all soldiers and families are invited to attend the incident briefing being conducted by the rear detachment commander, tomorrow, at 1700, at the Riva Ridge Chapel. Childcare will be provided.

Two ranks of Spartan Soldiers, their leaders and a contingent from the Special Operations Task Force-Southeast stood by Forward Operating Base Shank’s landing zone under the hot, late afternoon sun awaiting the arrival of a CH-47 Chinook helicopter bearing a small group of very important visitors.
