Rain Coast Guides The official outfitter of wild, Olympic Peninsula steelhead!

Jim Kerr has been fly fishing, river fishing, saltwater fishing, a fishing guide, and working on the water his entire life. He has fly fished extensively in the Northeast Saltwater for striped bass and blue fish, in the Florida Keys and Everglades for snook, bone fish, tarpon, and red fish, and for salmon, steelhead and trout in the American West. He now resides on Washington's Olympic Peninsula w

here he is a full time fishing guide for steelhead, trout, and salmon. His guide service has been featured in "Northwest Fly Fishing," "Western Outdoors" and "Fly Fishing and Tying Journal" magazines as well Doug Rose's new book on fly fishing for winter steelhead, "The Color of Winter." He can also be seen from time to time on The Outdoor Network, and Northwest Outdoors TV, as a fishing guide for anglers such as Skip Morris, and doing fly tying demonstrations of his original fly patterns.

Fishing opens back up May one. There were a few spring Chinook, and surprisingly a few summer steelhead at the end of March. Looks like I have a few days open the second week of May. You can go right to the calendar at Raincoast guides.com to book instantly

Shot this video of some pros from Indiana catching some steel head spey fishing. I tried to get a close up of the OPST label on the rod, bit I missed the shot. If you want to do some spey fishing this spring grab some May and June dates on the calendar right here https://raincoastguides.com/booking

May and June has spring Chinook, late winter Steel head, some early summer steel head and some pretty cool dry fly fishing for trout, we can probably work a mixed bag day. Check the dates at the link above or at raincoastguides.com

Lots of folks have asked when the next Spey workshop is. I am planning on May 1 and , oddly, June 4. These are on the water workshops that help break down the obstacles between you and actually effectively catching salmon and steelhead on your Spey rod. There are 3 spots in each workshop and they cost $300.00 each spot. If you are interested email jimkerrguides@com
