Fast delivery starts before the order is placed.

Amazon sellers are being pushed toward faster delivery promises, tighter inventory placement, and more flexible U.S. fulfillment options.
But speed does not begin inside Seller Central.
It starts much earlier:
China
→ Ocean freight
→ U.S. port
→ Warehouse
→ FBA / final delivery

Starting September 18, CBP can void your IOR.

If Form 5106 is incomplete or incorrect, CBP can cancel your Importer of Record status.
Once voided, your next shipment will not clear. Restock stops completely.

CBP is now enforcing four hard rules:

1. The physical address must be your actual operating location — not the registered company address, not a fake address, and not a supplier’s address.
2. The Power of Attorney (POA) must be signed directly by you.
3. Phone and email must belong to the IOR — not your forwarder or broker.
4. False information on the 5106 can lead to fines or even imprisonment.

You have less than 30 days.
Fix the address, confirm the phone and email are yours, and make sure the POA is properly signed before September 18.

“Delivered” on Amazon does not mean your inventory is ready.
Most sellers see the status change to “Delivered” and assume the units can start selling.
They can’t.
“Delivered” only means the carrier dropped the shipment at the fulfillment center.
After that, Amazon still has to:

Check the freight in
Unload it
Scan every carton
Move the units into sellable inventory

During busy periods or when the FC is backed up, this process can take several days — sometimes close to a week.
Until it finishes, the units sit inside Amazon’s system but cannot fulfill any orders.
Your ads keep running. Your forecasts assume the stock is live.
But nothing is actually selling.
This is one of the most common (and expensive) misunderstandings in FBA.
