Why would someone intentionally fly without an engine?!

Presentation will be given by Reid Baldwin at Thursday's (6/11) Membership Meeting! Address is 3400 Ann Drive, Flushing, MI 48433, 6pm social hour, 7pm meeting and presentation! You won't want to miss it!

The presentation is an introduction to glider flying for airplane pilots. It starts with how we accomplish things that usually require an engine, like getting into the air, staying in the air, and traveling from place to place. How does the gliding performance of your aircraft compare to an aircraft that is designed for soaring? What do airplane pilots need to know to share airspace with gliders? For those that are convinced to give it a try, the presentation will discuss the costs and time required.
