RC ROUTE 66 is about to do the FIRST test and the FIRST Time anything like this has ever been done with a RC and it's being done on the World Famous Route 66 ! Here is the map and we will hopefully be doing this Saturday Morning and we will have it LIVE on FACEBOOK for everyone to watch and hopefully see something very cool so get the kids ready to enjoy it and then of course they will want to go out and RC I am sure too on Saturday Morning! First Test coming up. We are going to do a short hop to Seligman for about 8 miles from Crooktown Road as an initial drive and see how it goes.

Today we did the first run tests on the Traxxas Ford Raptor and it was amazing. We made sure the first place we did was an original section of Route 66 in Flagstaff. This is an amazing RC. We also got it decorated appropriately too! So, we will be showing more and more as we lead up to the first major RC TEST #1 which will be the short distance between Ashfork and Seligman on the Ashfork Kick Off weekend in a few weeks!

Once that first test is done we will increase the distance from Ashfork to Kingman which will be the final test before we set in motion the major WORLD RECORD from Chicago to LA with a RC.

We are super excited to finally announce that the Modified Traxxas Ford Raptor is arriving and we will be doing some local testing with it first before the History Making Test from Ashfork AZ to Kingman AZ! Northland Hobbies of Flagstaff is going to be helping us since I am a novice.

So here is a little inside on some of the changes that the amazing team at Traxxas has done. Maybe you can understand what they did but this will be awesome time!

TRAXXAS Changes Done so far - We added fans to the motor and speed control to help keep temps down on the power system. The included batteries are 11.1-volt 3-cell LiPo batteries. We have higher and lower voltage battery options for more or less speed. Also, the pinion and spur gears can be swapped out for other gear ratios and speed levels. It will be a math question with trial and error to determine the adequate speed while keeping temperatures down and maximizing run time.
