BIG NEWS: FLG is excited to announce that beginning May 21, American Airlines will upgrade its DFW service to a larger aircraft. The Airbus A319 will replace the current CRJ700, more than doubling seat capacity and marking the first time a mainline aircraft will serve FLG. The A319 offers three classes of service: First Class, 24 Main Cabin Extra, and Main Cabin seats, providing travelers with more comfort and options. This upgrade significantly increases daily seat availability compared to the CRJ700. “Summer is just around the corner and travelers have told us they want more options to visit Flagstaff,” said Jordan Pack, American’s Director of Domestic Network Planning. “By introducing additional capacity between Flagstaff and our largest hub, we’re enabling greater access from destinations across the country – ranging from Miami to Washington, D.C., to New York and more.” Airport Director Brian Gall added, “The increase in seats for this route shows the ongoing growth of the northern Arizona market and the strength of our partnership with American Airlines. We’re very excited that FLG will have scheduled service on a mainline aircraft for the first time ever. The Flagstaff community has demonstrated the need for this additional capacity by consistently filling the available seats on our flights.
