What an incredible day for a Young Eagles event!

Today, the Fitchburg Pilots Association flew over 20 Young Eagles (ages 8–17), all of whom were experiencing flight for the very first time. As always, there were lots of smiling faces at the end of their trips.

Thank you to all the pilots and volunteers who made it such a success! Thanks too to EAA - The Spirit of Aviation, who make it all possible.

A brief history of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), the predecessor to NASA.

The NACA was created in 1915 to help the US catch up to Europe in airplane technology. Forty three years later it became the basis for NASA. In between the NACA transformed aviation from a risky pastime into part of the fabric of our daily lives. This is the story of the technology and the fascinating people behind the aviation revolution.

Perhaps a stretch ;), but I figured I'd put it out here. We are re-upholstering our '81 Warrior seats. The old material isn't in bad shape, just needs to be cleaned.

Might someone be able to use this in place of their ripped or otherwise worse shape seats?

The seatback plastics aren't half bad either.
