Hello Everyone! I'm looking for a little help, but first a little backstory..

Long story short, WE LOST ALL OUR REVIEWS! Previous "advertising company" was trash. Terrible website, MISTAKENLY advertising for our sister company (Benson St Storage) and not Fitton Moving, charging an arm and a leg while doing absolutely nothing for us in the advertising department.
This lead to our Fitton google page being completely removed from google all together. Awful. I am in the process of rebuilding our websites for both Fitton Moving and Benson St Storage, it will take a few months to be finished and operational though. In the meantime I've reopened our google business account..

THIS IS WHERE I NEED YOUR HELP!

I'm wondering if any of you could take the time to help me out and leave an honest review from any experience you've had with us here at Fitton over the years. Could be yesterday, could be years ago! Good or bad (We're human, it happens!) If you see this and have moved with us, please take the time to leave us a review on how we did. I've found word of mouth is the best way to earn business and traction, these reviews help more than you know because everyone is using google these days!

As we begin a new year in 2026, Fitton also starts a new chapter with changes in ownership here. For 40+ years my father David has been at the helm of our vessel day in and day out. He brought our business to a whole new level, one move at a time. From where he started and to where he ended, what he's accomplished in the industry is unmatched! Proud of my father and thankful to say the least for all I've learned and all he's passed on to me over the years. As he retires, and I step into the solo ownership role; we are excited for what's ahead! I'll strive to keep our family business thriving and serving our community with any opportunity we get. The roles may have changed, but our duty for quality service with a great attitude remains the same! Wishing you all a prosperous and healthy new year!

When it comes to packing your kitchen, pack your plates vertically, like records. This way, they’ll be less likely to break. Also, with wine glasses, pack them with alternating rows of the wine glasses upside down and right side up.

When it comes to relocating your office, we recommend clear consistent communications with all of your customers. Let them know ahead of time when you are moving, your new address and contact information, and when you will be open for business at your new location.

So what can you do to prepare for when the movers come? We recommend that you defrost the fridge and dispose of perishable foods, as well as drain any fuel from items such as lawn mowers that you want us to pack and move.

When you're running a full time business, the last thing you want is to lose money because you have to shut down operations for a long period of time for an office move. This is one reason hiring pros makes sense. They'll be able to move your office and have you set back up as quickly as possible.

Try to keep your boxes lighter than 30 pounds when you are packing. The maximum should be 50 pounds. Heavier boxes lead to injuries and are also much more likely to burst their tape or seams. Keep a bathroom scale nearby if you are unsure if your box is getting too heavy.

When taking apart items that have hardware or screws — such as the bracket that holds your TV on the wall — put the small pieces into a zippered sandwich bag and tape the bag to the main item. That way, nothing will be lost.
