Blue skies, and safer rides. Let’s share the road like pros...
For cyclists:
- Wear a helmet and bright/reflective gear.
- Ride predictably: hold your line and avoid sudden swerves.
- Signal turns and stops early so drivers know your next move.
- Follow traffic signs/lights. Bikes are traffic too!
- Use lights at dawn, dusk, or cloudy conditions.
For drivers:
- Give cyclists plenty of space when passing. At least 3 feet where required. ↔
- Slow down and wait to pass when the road is narrow or visibility is limited.
- Check mirrors and blind spots before turning or opening doors.
- Avoid distractions and put your phone down.
- Be patient: everyone’s trying to get home safely.
