Eagle Field

Eagle Field Born in 1942 as a WWII U.S. Army Air Field, Eagle Field preserves aviation history while driving innovation today. Permission to land is required.

A 350+ acre private airport for flight testing, first responder training, and modern light aviation. Originally established in 1942 as a U.S. Army Air Field and primary pilot training site, Eagle Field holds a special place in aviation history. Today, it is being transformed into a next-generation Aviation Hub and Science Park—integrating ground, air, hangar, warehouse, and R&D operations into one

secure, scalable location. Strategically located just 30 minutes by charter flight from Silicon Valley, 90 minutes by car, and only one hour by air from Los Angeles, Eagle Field offers exceptional access and connectivity.

Happy to share a historic video clip from the Fly-In event held at Eagle Field Airport on June 11–12, 1988! Aviators and enthusiasts gathered for the Fly-In and Dinner Dance, and this rare footage captures a sky full of colorful aircraft and passionate pilots soaring over the field more than 40 years after it was built. The hangars, raised by dedicated workers decades earlier, were filled that weekend with aviators and fans gathering and dining together to celebrate Eagle Field's aviation legacy.

Aircraft featured in this film include the T-28, T-6 Texan, B-25 Mitchell, PT-22, T-34 Mentor, Zero Replica (T-6), and Beechcraft Model 17 Staggerwing.

Were you there in 1988? Share your memories in the comments — we'd love to hear them! Enjoy the video. ✈️

Eagle Field Airport recently had the honor of welcoming a delegation from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for a tour of our historic facilities!

Our guests explored the hangar, runway, and ramp before stepping into our museum — where history truly comes alive. The delegation got an up-close look at our collection of historic warbirds, including our recently restored T-28 Trojan, a milestone our team is incredibly proud of.

It was a pleasure sharing Eagle Field's legacy and vision with the Caltrans team, and we look forward to continuing to build relationships that support aviation, preservation, and the future of our community.

Thank you to the Caltrans team for taking the time to visit.
