Today, we’re celebrating the retirement of someone who has been a valued part of Ohio Logistics: Carl Brown

Carl joined Ohio Logistics in 2003 and has served as Putnam County Operations Manager at our Ottawa, Ohio facility. He has been an integral part of our company’s growth, the relationships we’ve built, and the everyday work that keeps our customers moving.

While we’re excited for Carl as he begins this next chapter, it’s never easy saying goodbye to someone who has been such a meaningful part of the team.

Carl, thank you for your years of service, your leadership, and the time and dedication you’ve invested in Ohio Logistics and the people around you!

A bird’s-eye view of what’s next for Ohio Logistics in Lima, Ohio! 🚧

The progress continues at our newest warehouse development along Commerce Parkway, near I-75 in Allen County, Ohio.
These updated drone photos give you a look at the construction taking shape as we prepare to expand our warehousing and distribution capabilities in Northwest Ohio.

This project includes:
▫️A new 100,000-square-foot speculative warehouse facility
▫️Convenient access to I-75 and major Midwest transportation corridors
▫️Additional warehousing, distribution, and logistics opportunities for manufacturers and businesses throughout the region
▫️A planned opening in 2027

And this is just the beginning!
The development is planned to include a second 100,000-square-foot building as demand grows.

As Ohio Logistics continues to expand its network of warehousing, transportation, and third-party logistics (3PL) solutions, we're excited to invest in infrastructure that supports our customers and the continued growth of the Lima and Allen County business community.

MEET THE TEAM: Maxwell Downing 👋

If you’ve recently applied for a job at Ohio Logistics, there’s a good chance you’ve already met Max!

As our HR Recruiter, Maxwell Downing focuses on talent acquisition and connecting job seekers with opportunities throughout Ohio Logistics. For Max, one of the best parts of the job is getting to meet new people, build relationships, and work alongside a team he genuinely enjoys.

What has stood out to him about Ohio Logistics? The investment in people.

4 things stand out! 👀

We sat down with Jason Black, our Director of Business Development, and asked what has impressed him most since joining Ohio Logistics just nine months ago.

His answer paints a pretty good picture of who we are and where we’re headed!

✔️Scale: A logistics network built to serve customers across multiple markets.

✔️Capabilities: Trucking, 3PL and warehousing supporting food grade products, manufacturing materials, personal products, automotive and white goods.

✔️Growth: We’re continuing to expand, with two new sites expected to open in early 2027.

✔️And maybe most importantly, a company that cares: Through charitable giving, community involvement and investing in the next generation, Jason has seen that growth here is about more than square footage.

With our new Lima facility slated to open in 2027, we’re excited about what’s ahead for Ohio Logistics, our customers, and the region.

It’s Truck Driver Appreciation Week, and we’re kicking it off with Kevin Johnson! 🚛👏

Kevin has been a spotter with Ohio Logistics for two years, and when we asked what he enjoys most about his job, his answer said a lot about the kind of workplace we strive to create: trust and respect.

Kevin appreciates the autonomy he has in his role and knowing he’s trusted to do his job well. And as an Army veteran, taking responsibility seriously is something that comes naturally to him.

This week, we’re proud to recognize Kevin and all of the drivers and associates who keep freight moving, serve our customers, and play such an important role in what we do every day.

For Evan, being part of Human Resources at Ohio Logistics means a lot more than what happens behind a desk.

A big part of his role is building relationships with our associates, understanding the work they do every day, and making sure they have the support, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed.

“I enjoy building relationships with our associates and gaining a deeper understanding of the work they do to serve our customers. Being able to support both our people and the business makes every day rewarding.”

And it’s Ohio Logistics’ commitment to people beyond the workplace that Evan believes really sets us apart. Now THIS is a Distribution of Kindness full-circle moment. 💚🐮

We’re proud to support the hardworking 4-H students who spend months raising and caring for animals they bring to the Hancock County Fair. Just look at these beautiful steers and the students who put so much work into raising them!

Ohio Logistics purchased several steers at this year’s fair, but the impact doesn’t stop there.

We’ll also cover the cost of processing the meat and then donate it to a local women and children’s shelter, helping provide meals for families right here in our community.

Supporting local students → supporting local agriculture → helping local families.

That’s the kind of circle we’re incredibly proud to be part of.

Congratulations to these 4-H students on their hard work, and thank you to everyone who helps make opportunities like this possible!
