Weather or not, here it comes! Don't let the weather scare you from helping these great causes! The Summer Fun Run is setting up as this is written, the Silent and Live Auctions will go on tonight with Ruckus playing their hearts out on Party on the Patio. Then tomorrow is the big day! Ride for Life, Battle of the Bikes, Taco Eating Contest, and great people working toward a great cause: giving back to their community! If it should be rainy tomorrow, hop in the car, truck, or van, all autos are welcome in this ride. We'll see you soon!

We don't know if anyone took a count, but we thought there might've been about 250 bikes and another 50 to 100 law enforcement vehicles from all over for the memorial processional for Chief Joe Landers. It's hard to say what was more awe inspiring, the processional, or the good citizens of Lowell lining the streets of the processional saluting and waving Old Glory.

For those of you who do not know, Joe Landers, the Lowell Chief of Police and avid motorcycle enthusiast, was hit on his motorcycle while in Panama City, FL. Late last week, he passed away in a Florida hospital due to the injuries he sustained in the accident. There will be a Memorial Ride for Chief Joe Friday, May 11th, 2012 followed by his funeral service. At 8:45am Friday morning everyone wanting to ride needs to meet at the parking lot of the old Sportsman's Warehouse (4323 Pleasant Crossing Blvd Rogers, AR) to leave at 9:30am. The people not riding will need to meet at the Fellowship Bible Church on Pleasant Grove near 71B at 10:00am. Then the services will begin at 10:30am.
