Finally tracked down the oil leak on my ‘06 Harley Vrod. Easy fix: just had to replace the Oring around the starter. Although my exhaust gaskets got a little messed up during disassembly do I won’t be riding till those come in on Friday

Here’s a little post about a new skill set I’m picking up: motorcycle repair

Had to replace the stator and CDI.
Rebuilt and re-jetted the carb.
Replaced all turn signals with new aftermarket ones
Replaced front brake cable and adjusted both front and rear brakes

Had a customer bring in a boat for a service and we found a hole corroded through the thermostat housing. Had to grind out all the bad metal and weld it shut. This was a 2019 Yamaha 150. The customer fishes salt regularly and religiously flushes his motor using the flush port on the side of the engine. It would seem that using this method rather than running the engine up to temp on the muffs doesn’t allow fresh water to cycle all the way through the head, leaving plenty of salt at the top of the motor behind the thermostat.
