My favorite trips are when I am a TRAVELER instead of a vacationer… 🤣 We came back from Panama exhausted physically but mentally recharged!
So many ways to see a country from a one day cruise stop, to a road trip or a deep dive into a specific region. 😍
We stayed at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort, a historic resort set in the richly diverse Gamboa rainforest. Not a single light was visible from the resort looking out on the Chagres River! Such peaceful sounds every single day of our stay.
We zip lined, rode an aerial tram, took a boat tour next to the ships in Gatun Lake passing through the Panama Canal, ate local food, did two days of private guided fishing in the river and lake, took a nighttime safari tour, fed monkeys, visited a sloth sanctuary and butterfly house, and capped it all off with a Panama Canal Boat tour THROUGH THE LOCKS! 🤯
Unbelievable experience.
I caught a Peacock Bass (actually around 30 🤣), Snook and Oscar Fish for the first time!!
I learned sooooo much that I want to gift to the next couple/friend group/family that wants to take this journey.
