I had a fun, sunny visit to the arcade at Palace Playland. 🏰 It is a giant facility with multiple game types, a lot of claws, and even some vintage gems I had not seen in a while. Despite trying quite a few different claw machines, I only scraped out one win (it was a glitter kitty 🙀, haha). We had a great time this weekend at the annual Amazing Summer Fest Race in Farmington! Thanks to all of the teams that participated and all of the local businesses that let us send people running and puzzling through their stores!

We are tracking prices for lobster rolls at 30 restaurants around Maine and give you the breakdown of where to find the cheapest eats. The average cost across the state is $33 per roll, but the highest prices we found were in the Midcoast area.

We will be running our annual Amazing Summer Fest Race again this year for Farmington Summer Fest on Saturday, July 25. This is a free event for teams to run around to different businesses in Farmington, solving puzzles and other fun challenges.

People who have not done it before usually ask me if they have to really race - no, you don’t really! While we do track times for those who want to go as fast as possible, this “race” is about having fun with your team and exploring the different businesses in downtown Farmington. So if you have not tried, we would love to see you there this year!

Looking for a memorable, hands-on, family-friendly day trip? We checked out the new Mr. Drew Exotic Animal Education Center in Poland, Maine, and it was an absolute blast! 🐢

There were dozens of tortoises to interact with, a hidden cave to dig for gems and shells, and plenty of animal knowledge to support the mission of this rescue and rehabilitation center. 💎🐚

Mr. Drew does a lot of traveling shows, but he happened to be there on the day we visited. It was great to speak with him and find out more about all the great things they are doing for the local community.

We recently visited Mr. Drew’s Animal Education Center in Poland. There, you can feed some of the animals, and they might crawl on your feet! 🐢
