Luís Tavares, also known as Didá of Achada Santo António, went to the Atlantic Shipping warehouse in Fall River to deliver boxes carrying supplies for Praia residents with special needs.
Tavares pointed out supplies of diapers for children and adults, wheelchair, and other needed support supplies.
According to his explanation, the project is part of the operations of the CdLS Awareness (Cornelia de Lange illness - CdLS) group, which is aimed by Maria Helena Lopes, the mother of child Samira, who has this illness.
Helena emphasized over the phone that the contribution includes diapers, bed pads for incontinence, and a variety of other things designed for people with special needs.
Helena stated that donations in Praia will be handled by the Associação Colmeia, an organization made up of parents and friends of children and young adults with special needs.
Luís Tavares said that they chose Atlantic Shipping due to its proximity, reputation, and guarantee of cargo arrival in good condition.
