Diesel Tractor and Trailer Service is looking for an experienced diesel mechanic position. We are looking for someone who can work full-time Monday through Friday. We offer competitive pay and medical benefits. This position will collaborate with other repair team members to ensure a vehicle is safely and efficiently operating to the driver’s needs. They often have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
• Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts
• Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts
• Conducting road calls in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown
• Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance
• Completing oil changes and brake checks

CDL class A Drivers needed for Mentor OH based company.
This is medium size family owned transportation company. Our focus is on motivating our employees to deliver exceptional service to our clients. We minimize down time by acquiring newer equipment which is also maintained timely. We run fleet of Volvo semi-trucks (2013 – 2019) and 53’ dry van trailers (2018-2019). Our goal is to have you home every Friday. This is mostly (not inclusive) regional driving (upper state NY, OH, MI, PA, MD, IN) and you have at minimum 2 days (48 hours +) home time during weekends. High possibility for home time during the week as well as we mostly run to east (NY, PA, MD...) and back.
We do not drive to New York City or Chicago.
Company provides W2 form for tax reporting. For first year of service, You would be eligible to use one week paid vacation after 6 months of service. Trucks are equipped with "prepass" and “EZ-pass” to minimize stopping at weight stations and toll-boots. Our ELD vendor has simple software which is user friendly. We value our drivers and always try to balance work/life experience. You will have multiple phone numbers you can reach someone any time you have a need.
We are looking for long term CDL A drivers who have 2+ years of verifiable experience, clean driving record and are focused on providing great experience for our clients.
Pay is $220 per day, up to $1100 per week to start off, with opportunity for occasional bonuses based on performance. Our drivers have in average 1600 to 2000 miles per week. We pay additional 0.50 cents per mile for all miles over 2500 per week. Any work involved (loading/unloading assist) is negotiated upfront and paid additionally.

This is just one of the many images we have seen all across the country in the last few weeks. To our drivers and all other drivers on the road please be careful and stay safe out there. Be mindful of your speeds even if you don't see snow, black ice will get you. This image was taken while our driver was stopped and not moving and was taken in Arkansas. This was a multi semi crash with 5 semis going off the road because one caught a patch of ice at higher then allowed speeds at that time.

Global Transport Ohio LLC is in search of a full time Diesel Mechanic! Mainly weekend work while trucks are parked at our yard located in Fairport Harbor, OH. Must have working knowledge of heavy duty diesel engines on semi trucks and flexibility in scheduling. Preferred to have a Class-A CDL. Duties may include local deliveries to our customers, DOT annual inspections, and maintenance of all company owned semi-trucks. Some on call ability is required.
