The Alaska International Airport System (AIAS) is comprised of Fairbanks International and Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airports which are owned and operated by the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities. Positioned 9.5 hours from 90% of the northern industrialized hemisphere, the Alaska International Airport System boasts direct international passenger and cargo traffic, as well as a robust domestic market.

TSA Gateside has launched!

The new TSA Gateside program allows eligible TSA PreCheckĀ® members to go beyond security at FAI without a flight, making it easier to spend a little extra time with friends and family before they take off or welcome loved ones arriving in Fairbanks! āœˆļø

This month, weā€™re happy to recognize Clear Skies, a longtime member of FAIā€™s East Ramp community!

For the past 10 years, they have owned and operated their building on the East Ramp, leasing space to several local aviation businesses while also providing 100LL AvGas and jet fuel. Over the years, they have made several improvements to the property, including a new restaurant and medical office space, a bi-fold hangar door, solar panels, and a new self-service 100LL system.

Last year, they also added the first and only self-service jet fuel system on FAIā€™s East Ramp.

Today, the building is fully leased and home to East Ramp Wood-fired Pizza, 70 North Air, Aviation Medicine Fairbanks, Fairbanks Avionics, an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner, Alaska Tailwheel, LLC, and aircraft tie-downs. East Ramp Wood-fired Pizza also recently celebrated its ninth year in business!

Aviation is truly a family affair for the owners. Anders recently established a Part 135 certificate and operates Nunatak Air, LLC with their Cessna 182. He also works across the ramp at Qavvik Air, while his wife is an Alaska Airlines flight attendant. Their nine-year-old daughter, Amalie, has grown up spending time at the hangar right alongside them.

The Alaska International Airport System(AIAS) is hiring a Passenger Air Service Development Coordinator at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC).

Youā€™ll work with airlines and industry partners to grow existing routes, pursue new regional, domestic, and international service, analyze market opportunities, and build the business case for why airlines should fly to Alaska. This is a dynamic position in a fast-paced environment focused on growth, customer service, and teamwork.

Help bring new destinations within reach and expand existing service.

Build relationships with airline decision-makers.

Turn market intelligence into new opportunities.

Represent ANC and AIAS at airline meetings and industry events.
