Dalton Highway Express is a small Alaska-owned business that specializes in summer-time (beginning of June to the end of August) transportation on Alaska's Dalton Highway. The Dalton Highway has been billed as the last great wilderness road on earth. It winds through the Yukon-Tanana uplands, traverses the Yukon River, crosses the Arctic Circle, climbs through Atigun Pass and the awesome Brooks Mountain Range, and stretches across the Arctic Coastal Plain before ending at the shores of the Arctic Ocean. It is the only land route to reach the Arctic Ocean and what a route it is! The 240 mile stretch between Coldfoot and Deadhorse is the longest stretch of undeveloped wilderness road from Tierra del Fuego to the shores of the Arctic Ocean. Dalton Highway Express offers the perfect way to access the untamed wilderness of Alaska's Arctic in an economical fashion. We provide transportation to the Yukon River, Arctic Circle, Coldfoot, Wiseman, Galbraith Lake, and Deadhorse (service community for Prudhoe Bay oil fields). The possibilities for the outdoor enthusiast are endless. Whether you have 2 days or a week, there is a combination to fit your needs.

Spring is the perfect time to finalize your transportation needs on the Dalton Highway. First run for 2025 is scheduled for June 3/4; however, we don't have any passengers yet. 😢as we get close operations will be making a decision to cancel (usually within 4- 3 weeks prior to a run). Don't miss out - make your reservations today!!!!!! (Photo - get dropped off for a pack raft float down the Koyukuk River from Coldfoot to Bettles...just one brilliant idea.)

Reservations are now open for the 2024 Season. Schedule will be June 1 - August 28, 2024. We will run north on Tuesday and Saturday / run south on Wednesday and Sunday. We HIGHLY encourage reservations as soon as you know when you need a ride on the Dalton Highway. Happy Winter!

The 2023 Summer Season is right around the corner. June 3 - August 30, 2023. Our schedule is Northbound Fairbanks to Deadhorse on Tuesday and Saturday / Southbound Deadhorse to Fairbanks on Wednesday and Sunday. HOWEVER, operations will close dates with no reservations 3 - 4 weeks out. SO, if you are looking to make reservations this summer make them NOW so you don't miss out. www.daltonhighwayexpress.
