Sometimes the wait to get back on the haulroad can feel like an eternity. You'll sit so long, forget about a few meals & start looking like this guy!

I know they aren't picking on me. But darn it. I was so close! And I was almost there when they let them go. Just remember it took me a minute to get my camera out when I stopped. And they were much further down the road than when I first got stopped.

I drive over this bridge every trip I head to Prudhoe. It was a nice change of pace to have to stop and see it up close. Peaceful and pure.

I'm so glad I had a camera mounted for this view. I traveled east towards the border for this run and I came across many bodies of water. A quick online search informs me that there are over 12,000 rivers in Alaska. And that that makes up over 40% of our country's water surface area. Wild!

The American Trucking Association sent up the crew from We Are Films and we traveled north together. It was so awesome to see these guys in action. Hopefully I can bring some of that to Dalton Darlin’, so our trip logs become better.

Thank you ATA and We Are Films! I loved meeting you guys, hearing the stories, and watching you work. You are a gift!

This 2 mile hill at 9% slope is making chains a necessity when traveling southbound and heading up it. Better to have them on at the bottom then try to put them on when in a foot of mud and on a hill.

Tightened those straps and buckle up. This autumn has brought nothing but problems. Slow and steady is the best way to make it through this undamaged.

Not much of a light when you can’t get through it. This is why I'm not a big fan of these lights vs a flagger.

They stay in herds like this to protect the young. Did you see the baby?
