Was a privilege and an honor to present at the mechanics clinic for my day job. Always a great interaction with mechanics, both seasoned and new. I’m always learning, and it’s great to share the knowledge I’ve accumulated over the last 40 years of turning wrenches.

The final fly away service trip for the Alternate Route is in the books. It is always rewarding to support , and a thrill to work along side some of the best, like .b.hodes , , and . The legends and were tireless in their work supporting the campers. I even met some kid named Chris who said he could act. I hope he acts better than he rides 😀. No, seriously, was a good sport and super kind. All in all a great week.

For gravel events and racing, I use some midsection carbon wheels and a few few different 40 mm wide tires. But I must tell you when you’ve got an adventure and you have to prepare for everything that could possibly come your way, I cannot recommend anything better than this combination right here; Terreno Dry in 45mm, tubeless, mounted on Alloy CCC gravel wheels with inside. Pavement to Class VI madness, to muck, and champagne gravel. Gobs of confidence with this kit.

. Hope you’ll join us at for a wonderful Sunday of gravel.

The sound of silence. You can quiet things down by beefing things up. This time it is an XD-15 BSA DUB bottom bracket that will keep this Ibis Ripmo whooshing down the trail, with only the sounds of the forest and pilot error to disturb the peace.

I am often asked, "what's in the chestpack?" To which I normally answer, "snacks." It's actually my "jump bag," a tidy little kit to handle most challenges I see when supporting events and rides. I can go 10 event days and use none of it, and then some days I use nearly all of it. How prepared are you when you go to an event? What are your must haves when you ride? 📸 .b.hodes &
