UPDATE 1:30 P.M. FRIDAY 9-27-24 EVANSVILLE, IN AREA RADAR
Remnants of Hurricane Helene are moving very quickly, the new current projected path has it already moving into Kentucky from the south east and by tomorrow morning it will stall just east of Beaver Dam Kentucky. Then it will start moving slowly back to the east. As this system gets closer to the Evansville area we anticipate that the windspeeds will pick up to a more consistent and higher level with stronger windgust. We may see some power outages due to trees and wires being down. Plan accordingly.

One of our EMA staff members was reviewing our airport tower cam video and found this awesome picture as the storm passed the EVV airport yesterday. Thought we would share it with you all. (EVV Control Tower 7-30-24).
