🎃🚢 Our Halloween on the High Seas Trip Report!
We’re home from our 3 night Halloween on the High Seas cruise on the Disney Wish, and I’m finally getting a chance to sit down and process everything we packed into those three nights!
We drove down the night before and stayed in Titusville, which worked out really well for us. It was a quick and easy drive into Port Canaveral the next morning. We actually arrived before the parking garage opened 😂, so we made a quick Starbucks side quest and looped back around.
Once we parked, we dropped our bags, walked in, and had a very easy check in. We spent some time in the Concierge Lounge before boarding and then it was time to start our cruise!
🚢 Embarkation Day
We started with lunch at 1923. One thing that surprised me was that the girls’ food was cut for them and they could order whatever they wanted. Definitely a nice little perk!
That afternoon, the girls checked out the kids clubs and we explored a little before getting settled in.
That evening was Arendelle for dinner followed by Seas the Adventure.
And because apparently we needed to add a little extra Disney magic to the day, Clara lost a tooth at dinner 😂🦷. We ended up getting a surprise visit from the Tooth Fairy while we were at the show, which was such a fun memory!
🎂🏴☠️ Day 2: Nassau + My Birthday
We decided to stay on the ship in Nassau, and I’m really glad we did.
The girls spent time in the kids clubs and nursery while we got some adult only time at Hyperspace Lounge, enjoyed the Concierge Lounge, made magnets, and just explored the ship.
Dinner was back at 1923 followed by The Little Mermaid. It was also Pirate Night, but we did not make it to the late show or fireworks because everyone was tired 😂.
We did discover that there is a HUGE selection of Disney movies available on the stateroom TV, though, so we had a movie night instead. Honestly, it was a pretty great birthday evening.
🏝️🌧️🎃 Day 3: Castaway Cay + Halloween
Castaway Cay day!
We had a cabana, which was SO nice. We enjoyed the beach, had lunch, and then got caught in a pretty good rainstorm 🌧️.
Back onboard, we had some fun character surprises in the Concierge Lounge, got to pixie dust our floor with ducks 🦆, and then got ready for Halloween!
Dinner was at Worlds of Marvel, and the girls were VERY excited to meet Spidey. 🕷️
Our final show was Aladdin, but after Castaway Cay and a full day of Halloween activities, our crew was officially done 😂. We headed back to the room, got packed up, and watched Aladdin on the stateroom TV instead.
And honestly, one of my biggest takeaways from this trip was that you really don’t have to do everything. There is always something happening on a Disney cruise, but sometimes the best choice for your family is to skip something and get some rest.
☀️🚢 Final Morning
We had an early breakfast at Worlds of Marvel, got off the ship, grabbed our luggage, and headed back to the car.
But our vacation wasn’t over yet! We headed to Walt Disney World for a couple more days. 🏰✨
I came home with SO many thoughts about our first Disney cruise, including things I loved, things I would do differently, and things I wish I had known before we sailed.
And apparently we enjoyed it enough that we weren’t even off the ship before we were already planning the next one 😂.
We booked a placeholder cruise before leaving the ship, so yes… we’re already planning our next Disney Cruise! 🚢✨
I’ll be sharing more of my lessons learned from our first cruise over the next few weeks because there is definitely a LOT to talk about!
If a Disney cruise has been on your family’s vacation list, follow along. I’m excited to share what I learned from actually experiencing the Wish firsthand! ❤️
