Yes, travel agents still exist—and honestly, we’re thriving… even in today’s AI world.

There are so many misconceptions about what we do, so let’s bust a few of the biggest myths:

1. “It costs more to use a travel agent than booking on your own.”�This is one of the biggest myths out there. Most travel agents don’t charge you extra—yep, I’ll say it louder for the people in the back: most travel agents do NOT cost you anything additional.
We’re paid through commissions that are already built into the price you’re paying. On top of that, we often have access to exclusive rates and supplier perks that aren’t available to the public.
So in reality… you could actually be saving money by working with a travel agent 😉

2. “Only older people use travel agents.”�Not even close. The majority of my clients are young couples and families who want more than a cookie-cutter trip. They’re looking for unique, off-the-beaten-path experiences—not just something they saw on Instagram or ChatGPT.
And let’s be real—the logistics of planning a family vacation, group trip, or bachelorette party can feel like a full-time job… and most people simply don’t have the time for that.
