This Father’s Day is so much different—and so much better. We have so much to be thankful for.
Around this time last year, Lydia was in and out of the hospital almost every month. Then, in August, she underwent her TOF repair. It was an incredibly difficult season for Ashley and me. Our daughter was only 10 months old and facing open-heart surgery with full bypass. As parents, it was one of the hardest things we’ve ever experienced.
But we knew it was the only way for her to have the healthy future she deserved and to continue blessing our lives for years to come.
This Father’s Day, she is a completely different little girl, and we are overwhelmed with joy. She is full of life, energy, curiosity, and wonder. It is truly amazing to see how far she has come and how the Lord placed the right people in our lives to help us get here.
Today, I am especially grateful to be the father of our amazing, fearless little girl.
