Here's a really cool project I completed a while ago, but am now able to share because it was just recently delivered to its owner. A good customer of mine asked me to make a more appropriate sign to hang above his restored antique Diebold floor safe (last photo). I fabricated the frame from a single plank of solid black walnut. I milled all the wood, profiles, and even the trim details myself (check out that hand made dentil molding!). I used 20ga sheet metal for the background, primed and painted to match the existing floor safe. The entirety of the construction, details, lettering, pinstripe, gold leaf, etc was all done in a "period correct" manner. I even designed a monogram by hand to put the cherry on top. I'm proud of how this turned out because of all the different skills involved to put this whole package together. I give thanks to God, and to great customers, who allow me to use my talents in this way. And if you have read this far, thank you too for the support!
