A family-owned restaurant with soul.
We were greeted by Claudia, chef Andrés’ wife, whose warmth immediately made the experience feel personal and welcoming. We sat at a table for two right in front of the wood-fire grill, surrounded by the aromas coming from the kitchen while enjoying meaningful conversations with chef Andrés — originally from Ensenada, who previously worked at several of Drew Deckman’s restaurants.
Set just outside of their home, Salazar offers a charming open-air dining experience underneath the shade of the trees, with the cool mountain breeze flowing through the valley. The setting feels intimate, relaxed, and deeply connected to the natural beauty of Valle de Guadalupe.
Salazar brings to life a true farm-to-table approach through local ingredients, thoughtful hospitality, and genuine human connection. Throughout the evening, Andrés and Claudia moved between the kitchen and dining room, sharing the specials of the day and creating an atmosphere that feels deeply authentic and personal.
If you’re looking for a more intimate and deeply delicious dining experience in Valle de Guadalupe, Salazar is a place worth discovering.
