We haven’t been keeping up with our page very well. These pictures show some of the projects we have been working on lately. Last year we concentrated on the restoration of that beautiful, white, kinner sportwing for Dave Devries of Lawrence, MA. This year we have taken on the restoration of Steven Lindrooth’s Bruner Winkle Bird. Mike is also involved with the maintenance of several other antique airplanes on an ongoing basis. You see some Pitcairn autogiro pictures from restoration work on Ric Asplundh’ s PA-18 and others.

As I mentioned last week Larry and Mike have been busy finishing up the Late John Desmond's Heritage Aircraft Collection. I thought I would post some photos and video of the various aircraft that were in that collection. each week. These are a shot of the first post restoration run up of the Curtis Fledgling and some video of it in flight and landing.

Hi All,
Been some time since the Posey Brothers Page has been updated. Well no time like the present. First of all, a little about what’s been going on since they left Robbinsville. The Posey brothers moved back to Van Sant airport in Erwinna Pa.

Prior to moving from Robbinsville they were restoring a Pitcairn Mailwing for Mr. John Desmond’s Heritage Aircraft collection. Due to space limitations at Van Sant the aircraft was transported back to Heritage aircraft and work continued on it there. Mike and Larry Posey worked at Heritage alongside our Heritage crew while they put the finishing touches on the Mailwing. When Mr. Desmond passed away in August of 2014 Mike and Larry agreed to help the remaining Heritage crew to finish and test fly several of the nearly complete aircraft to be sold off as part of the estate settlement.

Speaking of the Heritage Crew, I should introduce myself. My name is William Mcdevitt (Bill Please). I was John Desmond’s shop foreman at Heritage for 14 years. When heritage closed its doors in May of this year I came to work for the Posey’s at Van Sant. I’ll be trying to keep this page updated as much as time allows.

As many of you know, We have been involved with the John Desmond collection and auction for the past year. It was a great collection of rare airplanes and we enjoyed helping to get many of them flying, including the Pitcairn Mailwing, Waco Taperwing, Curtis Fledgeling, Stearman and Most recently we flew the Travelaire 6000 b to its new owner in Montana. Mike is working with the Desmond crew right now to finalize the Kinner pl***oy at Van Sant.

More news from Posey Brothers. Today is our last day in our Robbinsville, NJ shop. We are moving to Van Sant airport in Erwina, PA. We are looking forward to our new home but are sad to be leaving our long time home. We would love to see you there!
