Improved transportation, land use, zoning, sustainability, preservation, education and economic development have been the focus of Civitas efforts. Civitas has helped to cofound several vital community organizatio

ns: All Aboard Erie, Innovation Erie and Preservation Erie. In addition, Civitas took on a leadership role in promoting local entrepreneurs in the first Green Friday Made in Erie Marketplace in November 2013; and, working closely with architect Adam J. Trott, is making a case for re-purposing the McBride Viaduct. Civitas members regularly contribute opinion pieces to the Erie Times News, and, have just initiated a monthly "Considering the City" column for the ErieReader.
