Sometimes the best logistics wins are the ones the client barely has to feel.

On Hardinger Trucking’s very first load with a new client, our driver arrived to pick up an oversized shipment, but realized that the dimensions were different than what was initially provided. That meant the permit in hand was no longer valid.

The load needed to be onsite for a labor-intensive installation that had been scheduled months in advance, so the client was understandably pretty stressed about what this mistake could mean.

Our driver, Brian, called dispatch right away. Bob got our permitting partner involved immediately, while Megan kept the client updated and reassured her that we were going to figure it out.
Within about 30 minutes, we had a corrected out-of-state oversize permit reissued, printed, and in Brian’s hands. He was back on the road with essentially no impact to the client.

A few minutes later, we got this message: “Thank you SO much for saving [my] backside today! I so very much appreciate you, Bob and Megan, for your diligence.”

Not a bad way to start a new client relationship. 😊

Huge shoutout to Bob, Brian, and our permitting partners. This is exactly why having good people and strong partnerships matters.

We’ll figure it out. We’ll Make it Easy. It’s handled. 🧡

Brake Safety Week starts Sunday. But brake safety isn't a one-week activity.

From August 23–29, commercial vehicle inspectors across North America will participate in CVSA Brake Safety Week. This year's campaign will include added attention to the condition of brake drums and rotors.

For a trucking operation, the importance goes well beyond passing an inspection.

A vehicle placed out of service can quickly become a service interruption for the customer whose freight is on it.

That is why safety and reliability are closely connected.

Strong fleet practices happen long before an inspection:
- Consistent pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Preventive maintenance completed when it is due
- Drivers who report defects promptly
- Maintenance teams that address issues before equipment returns to service
- A culture where getting the equipment right comes before getting it on the road

Compliance establishes the minimum standard.

Preventive maintenance helps protect the driver, the freight, everyone sharing the road—and the service commitment made to the customer.

At Hardinger Trucking, safety is part of how reliable transportation gets delivered.

Finish the Week Strong!

As Operation Safe Driver Week comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank our drivers for the care, professionalism, and commitment they bring to the road every single day.

The work you do matters. Safety is not just about checking a box. It is about looking out for yourself, the people sharing the road with you, and the communities we travel through.

Before every trip, please remember to:
✅ Complete a thorough pre-trip inspection.
✅ Buckle up.
✅ Put the phone away.
✅ Stay focused on the road ahead.

To every driver on our team, thank you for making safety a priority every mile of every journey. We see your effort, and we truly appreciate all that you do.

Safe driving matters every day, and this week is a great reminder of that.

As law enforcement agencies focus on unsafe behaviors like speeding, distracted driving, following too closely, and improper lane changes, we’re taking a moment to recognize the people who lead by example every day: our drivers.

At Hardinger Trucking, we see firsthand the care, patience, and professionalism our drivers bring to the road. Their commitment helps protect our customers, our communities, and everyone traveling alongside them.

To our drivers: thank you for making safety a priority every mile.

Stay alert. Stay patient. Stay safe.

Operation Safe Driver Week!

Law enforcement officers across North America are increasing traffic enforcement this week. Help keep yourself and everyone on the road safe by:
- Obeying speed limits.
- Wearing your seat belt.
- Eliminating distractions.
- Following at a safe distance.
Remember: A clean inspection and a safe trip start with good decisions behind the wheel. Drive professionally Every mile-Every Load-Every day!

It's Handled.

When a local manufacturer faced an unexpected transportation challenge that threatened to disrupt operations, they needed a solution immediately.

One call later, our team went to work. Within an hour, a local Hardinger driver stepped in, picked up the assignment, and kept freight moving without missing a beat.

That's what logistics is all about, responding quickly, solving problems, and keeping our clients focused on their business while we handle the transportation.

No drama. No excuses. Just solutions.
