Derek Betcher new **S-Works Epic 9** is built, dialed, and ready for dirt.

And this one is an absolute XC weapon.

Specialized took the already World Cup-winning Epic platform and pushed it even further—dropping **206 grams**, reducing suspension friction by **11%**, and refining the kinematics to squeeze even more speed and efficiency out of every watt.

Light enough to fly uphill.
Capable enough to let it rip back down.

**Thug Ride is back this Saturday. 🤝**

Roll out with us from Cadence Cyclery Encinitas for 43 miles and 2,769 feet of some of our favorite North County roads.

We’ll have **A, B & C groups**, so find your crew, settle into the pace, and enjoy the ride. Same route, different speeds, good times all around.

Expect plenty of familiar territory through Manchester, Rancho Santa Fe, Stud Loop, Via de la Valle and San Dieguito before heading back toward the coast.

The new S-Works Epic 9 in Gloss Metallic Obsidian / Multi Color Dry Impasto has landed at Cadence, and the finish is absolutely wild in person.

Underneath the paint is Specialized’s lightest, fastest, and most capable full-suspension XC race bike yet. The Epic 9 drops 206 grams from the previous generation, reduces suspension friction, and refines the platform around one goal: turning more of your effort into speed.

Basically, it looks fast standing still and has the hardware to back it up.
