🚧 TRAVEL ADVISORY: ELKHART TOLL PLAZA (EXIT 92) OVERNIGHT CLOSURE SCHEDULE

The Elkhart Toll Plaza will be closed during scheduled overnight construction periods as part of the Indiana Toll Road's pavement rehabilitation and toll plaza improvement project.

Closure Hours: 7:00 PM - 5:00 AM ET

During closure periods, motorists should use Exit 96 (Elkhart East) or Exit 83 (Mishawaka) and allow extra travel time and use caution when traveling through active work zones.

⚠️TRAFFIC ALERT

Eastbound traffic at the Westpoint Toll Plaza is experiencing significant delays. An incident on I-80 has diverted traffic onto the Indiana Toll Road, and the resulting volume increase is backing up the plaza.

All staffed lanes are open and our team is processing traffic as quickly as possible. Delays are expected to continue while I-80 remains impacted.

Use Exits 72 or 77 on the Indiana Toll Road for the
smoothest route to campus. Concert starts at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Follow these quick travel tips:

✅ Check your E-ZPass account and make sure your transponder is properly mounted before heading out.
✅ Slow down at toll plazas and use Tap-to-Pay if paying by card.
✅ Follow event signage and local traffic directions near campus.

C.A.R.E.S. Week Bingo Brings Colleagues Together

Earlier this month, as part of C.A.R.E.S. Week, employees from across the corridor came together for a fun Bingo event. Participants enjoyed friendly competition, connected with colleagues, and had the chance to win some fun prizes along the way.

🚧 TRAVEL ADVISORY | NORTHBOUND BENDIX DR. BRIDGE CLOSURE | SOUTHBOUND OPEN

Beginning August 26 at 7 a.m., the northbound Bendix Dr. bridge over the Indiana Toll Road will close for routine maintenance and repairs. A detour will be in place.

• Closure: Aug. 26-Sept. 9
• 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧.
• Northbound detour: Nimitz Pkwy → Olive Rd → Brick Rd → Cleveland Rd
• Work expected to be completed by Sept. 9 at 5 p.m.

Please plan ahead and watch for posted detour signs.

🚧TRAVEL ADVISORY | NIGHTLY TOLL PLAZA CLOSURES
The Indiana Toll Road has begun overnight pavement rehabilitation and toll plaza improvements at the Howe Toll Plaza (Exit 121), with work at the Elkhart Toll Plaza (Exit 92) beginning September 2.

🕖 Work Hours: 7:00 PM - 5:00 AM ET (nightly)
📍 Howe Toll Plaza (Exit 121): August 20 - October 9
📍 Elkhart Toll Plaza (Exit 92): September 2 - October 17

During work hours, both toll plazas will be fully closed overnight for scheduled repairs and maintenance.

Additional Updates:
• Notre Dame Toll Plaza (Exit 77) nightly closures end August 28
• Angola Toll Plaza (Exit 144) nightly closures end October 9
• Eastpoint Toll Plaza lane restrictions end September 30

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution in work zones.

Nothing brings people together quite like good food and good company.

Last week teams across the corridor gathered for cookouts filled with great conversations, laughs, games, and plenty of time to connect. Moments like these remind us that strong teams are built both on the job and beyond it.
