As the weather turns, temperature swings can turn the inside of a shipping container into a dripping wet mess. If you've ever opened a box to find rusty tools or moldy gear, you know how frustrating "container rain" is. 🌧️📦

Here’s a quick 5-step checklist to keep your container dry:

1. Cross-ventilate: Vents high on one side and low on the opposite side pull air clear through the container. It's the #1 fix.
2. Never load damp gear: Muddy equipment, freshly washed clothes, or wet lumber release tons of moisture into the air.
3. Get stuff off the floor and walls: Use pallets and leave a few inches of space so air can actually flow around your belongings.
4. Use moisture absorbers: Something simple like DampRid works wonders without electricity, especially in rentals.
5. Insulate for big temp swings: Prevents the ceiling metal from reaching the dew point where droplets form.

You don't always need all five—for basic storage, steps 1 through 3 will do most of the heavy lifting.
