Midway Motel takes pride in offering our customers a great value in lodging with friendly folks and nice clean rooms. All units are ground level with 2 queen beds, individual heat and air conditioners, cable and TVs. A picnic area is available for your enjoyment. Carter County is an excellent choice for hunting deer, antelope, turkeys, birds and for the varmint hunter, shooting prairie dogs. Custer National Forest, Ekalaka Hills, Chalk Buttes and BLM land offers public areas to hunt. Continued interest in fossils and dinosaurs bring folks back to visit Ekalaka each year. Be sure to check out the Ekalaka Museum and learn about the dinosaur and fossils and numerous other items on display. You might want to enjoy a fun day at historic Medicine Rocks State Park. Come join us for a fun time in Big Sky Country.

New speaker Tuesday! At this year's Annual Dino Shindig we will have Mindy Householder on the stage in Ekalaka for the first time, talking about Dakota the Dino Mummy!

Mindy Householder is a fossil preparator with the State Historical Society of North Dakota. She prepared the right arm, portions of the left foot, helped with parts of the tail, and is currently preparing the body block of Dakota the Dinomummy.
