So I am Seriously wanting to pick up the torch again and start a Single Reed only shop, in Nova Scotia if I can pull it off. If not then the US somewhere. I am at a place in life where I need a change of scenery and really miss the bench. Thanks for letting me share.

http://ipm.ucanr.edu/PMG/A/I-CO-AFLA-AD.003.html When your technician says your pads were eaten by bugs, this is what he/she is talking about. The carpet beetle. This is just one reason I prefer to use Synthetic pads on clarinets now when possible. The larva will eat out the center of standard pads.
