Today, we mourn the loss of a truly remarkable man—Captain Bob Douglas, master of the Shenandoah and founder of the Black Dog franchise. Captain Bob was more than a sailor; he was a visionary, a steward of maritime tradition, and a beloved figure whose presence left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His unwavering dedication to the preservation of wooden boats and the education of future seafarers has created a legacy that will endure for generations.

Fair winds and following seas, Captain Bob. Your spirit will sail on with those who knew you. You will be deeply missed and forever honored.

Carly began her time sailing on Tigress and has always been a big supporter of Catboat Charters from the very beginning!
