Well they are on the right track but, 2.5 hours is a gross understatement. And the article claims "per job" I think they forgot that each job has 2 facilities. The shipper and the receiver. So at a minimum the figure should be doubled when speaking "per job"
Nonetheless it is an interesting article. People outside of the industry don't understand how much of our job is spent waiting at shippers and receivers unpaid. I find it quite ironic how many facilities are charging late fees for showing up after the appt time. Yet balk at the idea of compensating the driver when they take 4+ hours to load or unload a trailer.
