The Heart of Georgia Regional Airport is here to provide a national gateway to Dodge County and its surrounding locations. While boasting an impressive 6,504 foot runway with precision instrument approaches and facilities that rival metro airports, our superior service is catered to you and your passengers needs. Military aircraft and crew at our airport. Most crews are happy to speak with visitors and answer questions, but they do use our facility for rest, briefings and a chance to catch up on work. We ask that people keep this in mind, because we like our military guys here and don't want to scare them away. Also, the airport ramp is only accessible with permission from the AIRPORT MANAGER or with the escort of an AIRCRAFT'S OPERATOR. Our airport is always looking for businesses who are interested in locating themselves at or around the airport. With the airport being between I-16 and I-75 and just a short distance from Macon, we are in a great place for businesses of all kinds. Currently, we have one airplane manufacturer, an aircraft metal finishing company, a metal fabrication company and a college campus that is dedicated to the study of aviation.
