Marina Yard and Boat Detailer Position

Chagrin Marine is a continuously growing full-service marina and marine storage operation. Our facility, located on the beautiful Chagrin River in Eastlake, is looking to add a highly motivated and experienced individual to our team. This position is a full-time and year-round position. Typical work schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm, with occasional overtime and weekends necessary.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
• Launch, Haul and block boats (Experience a Must)
• Operate marina equipment, including trucks, tractors, travel lifts, etc…(Experience a Must)
• General boat maintenance including bottom painting, oil changes, and assisting service technicians
• Shrink wrapping
• Building and grounds maintenance

Detailing experience is a plus. We will train individuals with extensive detailing and shrink wrap experience to be able to perform the other duties as described. Competitive salary based on experience.

Pressure washing boat bottoms
The safe hauling, launching and blocking of boats.
The safe operation and maintenance of marina equipment.
The maintenance of the marina buildings and property.

Chagrin Marine is a full service marina located in Eastlake, Ohio on the Chagrin River. We service all makes and models of inboards, outboards, and I/O engines. We are a growing business, and are looking to add an experienced Service Manager to our team. We are looking for a minimum of 5 years of industry experience, with educational training and certification a plus. Salary and benefits are negotiated based on experience. A valid driver’s license is required. Position is full-time and year-round.

Candidates will be responsible for:

• Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises all department personnel.
• Monitors and assures efficient completion of all current and future service jobs.
• Upholds positive customer relations and fields all customer-related issues, concerns, and inquiries. Must communicate effectively with customers through a variety of mediums.
• Monitors and adjusts labor and physical resources to promote year-round profitability.
• Ensures the department has all parts, tools, and equipment necessary to function seamlessly.
• Ensures adequate and effective interdepartmental communication and collaboration.
• The service manager may also perform duties of additional staff when needed including Service Writer, Technician, Warranty Specialist, Parts Specialist, and Yard Crew.
• Additional duties as deemed necessary by General Manager.

Pay Based on Experience

We offer mobile service, customization, electronics installation, and in-water service. We are a growing business, and are looking to add an experienced marine technician to our team. We are looking for a minimum of 2-5 years of industry experience, with educational training and certification a plus. Salary and benefits are negotiated based on experience. A valid driver’s license is required. Position is full-time and year-round.

Candidates will be responsible for:
• Perform all preventative maintenance (i.e. oil changes, break in services, annual services, lower end services, cable replacements, etc.)
• Perform repair work (i.e. remove engine; inspect parts for issues; overhaul or replace carburetors, starters, pumps, electrical and fuel systems; rebuild parts such as engine blocks; rewire ignition system, lights, and instrument panels
• You will need to have an attention to detail. The ability to recognize and issue before it creates a bigger problem is very important. We focus on prevention
• Winterization will be part of your work schedule when the season requires it
• We expect punctuality and a high level of thorough diagnostics. Customer service and customer satisfaction is our number one goal. We are looking for a technician that takes pride in his/her work
• Other duties as assigned but nothing out of the ordinary to the industry
