Valley Paddler is a small company offering Kayak, Canoe, and Pedal Boat Rentals on Nashawannuck Pond in Easthampton. Rates:

Single Kayak: $20/1hr, $35/2hr, $50/4hr

Tandem/Canoe: $25/1hr, $40/2h, $60/4hr

Pedal Boats: $20/30mins, $30/1hr, $50/2hr

Kids' Kayaks: $10/1hr, $15/2hr


Boats may be reserved up to 24 hours in advance, subject to availability. If you are not here to take your reservatio

n, it may be given away to a waiting customer. Life vests will be provided and must be worn by all children under the age of 18. Children, under the age of 18, must be accompanied by an adult.

Tip #4 Nashawannuck Pond is about a mile long - twice what you can see from the dock!! Go out past the bend and it’s a different world!!

Tip #3 they’re cormorants. The dark birds? Cormorants. The ones with the log necks? Yes, cormorants. But we have heron and osprey and lots of others. Keep your eyes open!!

Tip #2 - the time of day effects what you see!! Turtles are out sunning themselves on logs in the full sun, but there’s not much shade. Evenings on the pond are beautiful and you may increase the chances of seeing our crepuscular friends.

If you want to see the whole pond, take a kayak or canoe.
If you want to hang out with 3 other people and get a quad work out in, take a pedal boat!
