It is with deep regret that we inform you of the passing of Life Member and former Treasurer of the Bell and Siren Club. Joe Mongiello. Joe will be waked at the La Monica Memorial Home, 145 East Mt. Pleasant Ave. (Rt. 10), Livingston, NJ on Wednesday September 19, 2018 from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday September 20, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony's Church, 63 Franklin St. Belleville, NJ. Interment will be at Rosedale Cemetery, Orange, NJ. May he rest in peace.

On Tuesday August 29 the Bell and Siren Club had the privilege to serve at the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the New Headquarters of the New Jersey State Firemen's Association. Lieutenant Governor / Secretary of State Kim Guadagno did the honors and also stopped by the truck for a picture.

Well Headquarters 17 is back in New Jersey after assisting at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service in Emmitsburg, Maryland. We were honored for the second year in a row to assist at this service. We served over 450 cups of Coffee, 1000 Munchkins and donuts, 100 bottles of water and much more. The Bell and Siren Club will be leaving in 2 weeks, once again being one of the 6 International Fire Buff Associates (IFBA) Clubs that were selected to participate in the National Fallen Firefighter Memorial Weekend in Emmitsburg, Maryland on October 8-9.2016 .6 Members members will travel to Emmitsburg to serve the families and guests at the Annual Memorial Service on October 8 on the grounds of the National Fire Academy. The club once again is very proud to be selected to assist at this solemn service.
