H2 Technical Rescue Equipment H2TR, LLC is a family-owned and operated business based in East Lansing, Michigan.

Cam Howie, the President and Founder of H2, is a veteran firefighter-paramedic with more than 20 years in the fire service. The Howie family has a tradition of firefighting with mulitple family members serving as firefighters. The company’s flagship product, the MPR 100, was created by Cam in an effort to improve the confined space rescue aspect of firefighting. After years of improvising ways to

cover the edges of manholes during confined space rescue calls, Cam designed a better way to safely move rescue personnel and equipment through manhole openings. The MPR 100 effectively covers the sharp edges of the manhole resulting in fewer injuries to personnel and preventing damage to equipment. The MPR 100 is now successfully being deployed by confined space rescue teams, municipal sewer & water departments and private industry professionals throughout the United States.
