Our Story
Custom hand sewn keepsakes.
I lost my Dad in April 2015. My niece wanted me to make a bear for her daughter (Dad’s first great granddaughter & the love of his life) out of his favorite shirt. I had never made one before, but I loved the idea so much that I gave it a try…and that is how Birchlawn Bears & Keepsake Kreations came to be. I always feel so honored to be chosen to help memorialize loved ones and I treat every project as if they were my family member.

For the Memory Bears I try to use as much of the shirt as possible, including buttons, pockets, collars, hoods, etc. I can generally get one complete bear from a med - large shirt, with a little left over. If you were looking to use one shirt for two bears, I can always use another fabric to make a "two-toned" bear.
