Another hot sunny day in Dixie. Quiet port city, with a definite southern personality.

Day 41: Beaufort, to Southport, N.C., 105 nm (total:2,504 nm).
Underway at 0635 for Southport, North Carolina.

Cond: mostly sunny, expected 94 degrees, winds SE at 10-15 knts, seas on our nose @ 2-3’ at 6 sec from the south.

We’re getting an early start to avoid the strong sea breezes and accompanying heavy seas that have been occurring in the late afternoon the past few days. Running at about 18 knots which should put us in Southport around 1:00, where we’ll chip the salt off of “Instigator” yet again. 😬
