Gray bird day in Duluth as northeast winds continued. Fun to sail past the 1942 SS Alpena! The oldest operating steam ship/ freighter on the Great Lakes. As a ship geek its always a treat to see her smoke stack puffing as it breaks the horizon coming into port. Its crazy to think that they shortened her by 180 ft so she could get into tighter spaces in years past. Looks good to me! Keep on keeping on Alpena!

Leonard on board as deck hand today! He started up the mast retrieving a skyed halyard from the previous day spinnaker hoist. I'll own it... the shackle released.. time to switch back to the fail safe bowline. Time Out riding on zephers all day just trying to keep speed up. Hardest conditions to sail in. Lots of sail changes but she coasted right along. Our evening group took a polaroid of us, cool to capture this on carbon. Great day!

She said yes! Way to go Lance and Paige! We had a perfect August offshore breeze with west wind kept us moving with no seas. Parents sent us this photo as they watched from Enger tower and then surprised us at the dock as we came in. Duluth and Lake Superior at its finest!

Time Out on her annual day with Camp Lafayette on Park Point. Great August morning to sail, anchor off the beach, and in true Duluth fashion... the kids jump off and swim in 64 degree Lake Superior.

Time Out Sailing's fleet together for a moment. Surfer Rosa is off to Bayfield Wisconsin and the Apostle Islands for the Summer. Time Out in for stern tube seal repair and will be back on Minnesota Point, Duluth this weekend. Cool to have both sitting next to eachother. Summer is here! Time to be out on the water!
